FOR EVENTS AND SPEAKERS

Turn conference talks into shorts.

A talk is recorded from the back of the room, the speaker walks, the slides change, and the recording sits on a drive until someone has time. shortshort gives you the clips the next morning: reframed on the speaker as they move, slides kept readable, every word captioned.

The crop walks with the speaker

Stage recordings are wide. Subject tracking moves the 9:16 frame as the speaker crosses the stage, with a zoom between x1.0 and x1.6 to keep them the right size, and every keyframe can be adjusted by hand.

One talk, one credit per minute, however many clips

A 41-minute talk costs 41 credits for 3 clips or for 10. For an event with twenty sessions, that is the whole programme clipped for the price of a few hours of video.

Sponsors and speakers get their own clip

Ask for 8 to 10 clips and hand each speaker their best moment. A clip carries the speaker, the slide and the words, so it works without the rest of the talk.

Clips land in the community with the talk

Publish the shorts and the full recording sits next to them on one page, with the transcript. People who find a clip can watch the whole session.

How it works for conference talks

Five steps. About two minutes of your time.

  1. 01Drop the session recording, up to 3 hours and 2 GB
  2. 02Ask for 8 to 10 clips of 30 to 40 seconds
  3. 03The transcript is read for complete, quotable passages
  4. 04The frame follows the speaker across the stage, slides stay full
  5. 05Download every clip as MP4, or publish the series with the full talk

Suggested captions: Spotlight. A keynote is delivered with rhythm. Spotlight follows that rhythm word by word without covering the stage.

Questions people ask

The camera is far from the stage. Will the crop still find the speaker?

Tracking works on the recording as delivered. On a wide stage shot the crop zooms up to x1.6 on the speaker; if the source is very wide or low resolution, you can adjust or lock any keyframe in the studio.

Can we process a whole day of sessions?

Each session is one upload of up to 3 hours. Creator and Studio run generations in the background on the server, so you can queue sessions one after another and come back to the results.

Does the speaker need an account?

No. Whoever uploads the recording gets the clips. Download all of them in one click and share the files, or publish them and share the community links.

What about slides with small text?

Slides are detected and kept as a full image rather than cropped, so the text stays as readable as in the recording.
