FOR PODCASTERS

Turn every podcast episode into shorts.

An episode is an hour of conversation and three or four moments people would actually share. shortshort finds those moments in the transcript, reframes on whoever is speaking and captions every word, so a 60-minute recording becomes ten clips ready for Shorts, Reels and TikTok.

Cut on complete answers, not on a timer

The transcript is read sentence by sentence. A clip starts where a question is asked or an idea begins and ends where the answer does, even if that means 38 seconds instead of the 45 you asked for.

The frame follows the person talking

Two hosts side by side, a remote guest in a window, a wide studio shot: face tracking moves the 9:16 crop to whoever is speaking, and every keyframe stays editable if a cut lands on the wrong face.

Captions for people listening with the sound off

Every word is timed on the audio. Spotlight lights up the word being said, which is how most podcast clips are watched: muted, in a feed, with the eyes doing the listening.

One episode, one credit per minute

A 62-minute episode costs 62 credits whether you ask for 3 shorts or 10. The 60 free credits cover a first episode entirely.

How it works for podcasts

Five steps. About two minutes of your time.

  1. 01Drop the episode, MP4 or MOV, up to 3 hours
  2. 02Choose how many clips you want and how long each should run
  3. 03The AI transcribes the whole episode and keeps the quotable passages
  4. 04Each clip is reframed on the speaker and captioned word by word
  5. 05Download all of them as 1080 x 1920 MP4, or publish them to the community

Suggested captions: Spotlight. A conversation is a stream of words; lighting them up one by one keeps the eye on the rhythm of the speaker.

Questions people ask

How long can a podcast episode be?

Up to 3 hours and 2 GB per upload, in MP4, MOV or WebM. A typical 60 to 90 minute episode is well within the limit.

Does it work with a video podcast that has two cameras or a split screen?

Yes. The 9:16 crop is placed on the person talking and moves when the speaker changes. Split-screen layouts are detected as wide shots and kept full-frame when cropping would cut someone out.

Can I use it on an audio-only podcast?

shortshort needs a video file. If you record audio only, export a video with a static image or a waveform first; the transcript, the clip selection and the captions will work the same way.

How many clips do I get per episode?

From 1 to 10, your choice, each between 15 and 90 seconds. The free tier allows up to 3 shorts per video; Starter allows 5 and Creator and Studio allow 10.

Will my guests be recognisable in the community?

Exported shorts join the community by default, with the source video. Any plan lets you keep your videos out of it, and you can withdraw a published short at any time.

A 62-minute episode, 10 shorts, one drop.

Free to try with 60 credits. Your source video stays yours; the shorts you export join the community, and a plan keeps them out of it.
