The whole video is transcribed word by word and watched with its audio before anything is chosen. The AI then keeps passages that can be quoted on their own, a full answer or a full argument, rather than slicing the timeline at fixed intervals.
You set a target length between 15 and 90 seconds. To close a sentence cleanly, a short may run a quarter shorter or longer than that target: ask for 30 seconds and you get anything from 22.5 to 37.5 seconds, with the last word intact.
Each proposal covers a distinct part of the recording. Ten shorts from one video are ten different passages, each with its own title and its own edit, so you are not posting the same moment with a different crop.

No. Selected passages are kept apart, so each short is a different part of the recording. If you want a second version of the same moment with a different length, adjust the bounds of that short by hand in the studio and render it again.
