FOR INTERVIEWERS

Turn interviews into shorts.

An interview is a list of answers, and the good ones are quotable on their own. shortshort reads the transcript, cuts on the question and its full answer, follows the face that is talking and captions the words, so a 40-minute conversation becomes a set of quotes with a face on them.

Cut on the answer, never inside it

The selection works on complete sentences. A clip ends when the answer does, so a quote is never cut off before its point.

The guest gets the frame when they speak

Face tracking moves the 9:16 crop between interviewer and guest. If a switch lands a second early, every keyframe can be moved or locked in the studio.

Emphasis on the words that matter

Impact captions bold one word per line. On a quote, that word is the name, the number or the verdict.

The full interview next to every clip

Publish the shorts and the source sits on the same page with its transcript, so a clip can never be accused of missing context.

How it works for interviews

Five steps. About two minutes of your time.

  1. 01Drop the interview recording, MP4, MOV or WebM
  2. 02Ask for 6 to 8 clips of 30 to 40 seconds
  3. 03The AI keeps complete answers and the questions that set them up
  4. 04The crop follows whoever is talking, keyframes stay editable
  5. 05Download the clips, or publish them with the full interview and its transcript

Suggested captions: Impact. A quote lives on one word. Impact puts it in bold and leaves the rest readable.

Questions people ask

Does it handle two people in one frame?

Yes. The crop is placed on the person speaking and moves at each change of speaker. Wide two-shots are kept full-frame when cropping would cut someone out.

Can I fix a clip that starts a word too late?

Yes. In the studio each passage has an in and an out point you can change, and the captions follow. Render again and the clip is replaced.

Is the transcript editable?

Captions come from the timed transcript. You can adjust the passages and the emphasis; the words themselves are those recognised from the audio, with a manual SRT import available for a corrected transcript.

Which languages are supported?

Transcription follows the audio, so an interview in French, Spanish or English is captioned in that language. The interface is in English.
