This monument behind me is a commemoration of a battle that took place here called the Bà Zịa battle. Essentially it celebrates the victory of the North over the South What makes this battle that happened here so special is that it was one of the first battles in which the North Vietnamese the communist Vietnamese who were trying to reunify Vietnam as a communist country it was one of the first battles in which they defeated a large number of southern Vietnamese troops.
