FOR INVESTOR RELATIONS

Turn earnings calls into shorts.

A results call runs an hour and reaches the analysts who dialled in, while the statements everyone else is waiting for take up two minutes of it: the guidance, the margin, the answer on capital allocation. shortshort locates them in the transcript, keeps the deck whole and captions every word, so they travel as 45-second clips on the day of the release.

The qualifier stays attached to the number

Guidance is a figure plus the condition that governs it. Passages are chosen on sentence boundaries and the result can land 25% either side of your target, so a clip asked for at 45 seconds may come out at 34 or at 56 rather than cut away before the words on a constant currency basis.

A revenue bridge is kept whole, not sliced

Margin tables and waterfall charts fill a 16:9 slide. Those frames are kept as a whole image, letterboxed rather than trimmed, so the axis labels and the footnote survive the export. The 9:16 crop takes over when the camera returns to a speaker.

CEO, CFO, analyst: the frame moves with the voice

Prepared remarks are read in turns and the Q&A brings in named analysts. Face tracking hands the crop to whoever is speaking and cuts clean at each handover, so a question and the answer it got fit inside one clip.

Your channels, not a public gallery

An export joins the shortshort community gallery unless the account is set to keep it out, and that setting comes with any paid plan, from 12 EUR a month, covering the quarters you have already clipped. The 1080 x 1920 MP4 files then go where you publish: the IR page, LinkedIn, the shareholder letter.

How it works for earnings calls

Five steps. About two minutes of your time.

  1. 01Drop the call recording as soon as the webcast provider hands over the file, up to 3 hours and 2 GB
  2. 02Ask for 6 to 8 clips of 40 to 50 seconds: guidance, margin, two answers from the Q&A
  3. 03The AI transcribes the call and keeps statements that end where the sentence ends
  4. 04Slides and charts stay full-frame, the 9:16 crop follows each speaker in turn
  5. 05Download the MP4 files for the IR page, the investor newsletter and LinkedIn

Suggested captions: Minimal. A results clip carries a figure that has to be read exactly as it was given. Minimal sets the words in plain text and adds no emphasis the speaker did not put there.

Questions people ask

How do I turn our quarterly earnings call into short clips?

Upload the recording, up to 3 hours and 2 GB in MP4, MOV or WebM, then choose how many clips you want, from 1 to 20 depending on your plan, and how long each should run, between 15 and 90 seconds. The AI transcribes the call, keeps the passages that form complete statements, crops 9:16 on whoever is speaking and captions every word on the audio. You get 1080 x 1920 MP4 files, at a cost of one credit per minute of recording, whatever the number of clips.

Our earnings call is audio with a slide deck. Can we still make clips?

shortshort reads a video file, so render the deck against the audio as a single MP4 first; any editor does that in a few minutes. Nothing else changes: the call is transcribed, passages are selected on what was said, and the deck frames are kept full rather than cropped, so the figures printed on them stay legible in a vertical clip.

Does clipping change what the CFO actually said?

No. Each clip is an excerpt of your own file: nothing is re-recorded, rewritten or translated, and the captions are the words recognised from the audio, timed on it. The AI decides only where a passage opens and closes, on sentence boundaries, and it may run up to 25% over or under the length you asked for so a statement is not cut before its condition. In the studio you can set the exact in and out point of any passage before rendering.

Will our earnings call show up in a public gallery?

Your upload and your drafts stay private in every case. What goes public is the exported short, which lands in the shortshort community gallery unless the account is set to keep it out. That setting comes with any paid plan, from 12 EUR a month, and once it is on it also applies to the shorts you exported in earlier quarters.

How much does it cost to clip a year of earnings calls?

One credit buys one minute of source video, regardless of how many clips you ask for, so four calls of roughly an hour come to about 240 credits for a whole fiscal year. Starter, at 12 EUR a month, includes exactly 240 credits but caps a video at 5 clips; Creator, at 29 EUR for 800 credits, allows 10 per video, which is the plan that fits the 6 to 8 clips a results call gives you; Studio is 79 EUR for 3,000 credits and up to 20.
