FOR FITNESS COACHES AND STUDIOS

Turn fitness classes into shorts.

You film the whole 45-minute class and end up using four minutes of it: the squat cue, the correction you gave twice, the finisher. shortshort reads your cueing, keeps each instruction whole, frames it vertically and captions it, so one Tuesday session becomes a fortnight of posts.

One movement per clip, cut on the instruction

The selection reads your voice, not the beat. A clip opens where you name the exercise or set it up and closes where the cue lands, which is why 30 seconds is the right target: one movement, said in full, instead of half a rep and a fade.

A frame that follows you, a room that stays whole

Face tracking places the vertical frame on whoever is talking, with a zoom held between x1.0 and x1.6 so you are never enlarged past the point where the movement still reads. A wide shot of the room, or one where several people are working at once, is kept whole rather than sliced, because a vertical cut there loses the arms or the feet.

Captions built for a gym, not a desk

Each word lands on screen the moment you say it. Impact prints one bold word per line, which is what a viewer copying you on a mat can read in the half second they look up, with the phone across the room and the sound off.

Ten clips cost exactly what three cost

The bill follows the length of the class, not the number of shorts: 47 credits for a 47-minute session whether you ask for 3 or 20. Starter's 240 credits a month cover five classes, Creator's 800 cover seventeen, and the 60 welcome credits cover your first one.

How it works for fitness classes

Five steps. About two minutes of your time.

  1. 01Drop the class exactly as you filmed it, up to 3 hours and 2 GB
  2. 02Ask for 10 clips of about 30 seconds, one per movement
  3. 03Your cueing is transcribed and kept as complete instructions
  4. 04The crop follows you, and a wide shot of the room stays full-frame
  5. 05Download the 1080 x 1920 files and post one movement a day

Suggested captions: Impact. A form cue is read at a glance, between reps, from a phone propped up two metres away. Big solid words hold at that distance, and over a body that keeps moving behind them.

Questions people ask

How do I turn a recorded fitness class into short vertical clips?

Upload the class recording as filmed, up to 3 hours and 2 GB in MP4, MOV or WebM. Choose how many shorts you want, from 1 to 20, and a target length between 15 and 90 seconds. shortshort transcribes your cueing, keeps passages that form complete instructions, crops to 9:16 on you and captions every word. A 47-minute class costs 47 credits, one per minute of source, and the 60 credits given at signup cover a first class.

My class runs on music. Do I have to be talking for this to work?

Yes. The clips are chosen from what is said, so your cueing is the raw material: the setup, the correction, the count, the reason a movement is done that way. A class filmed with music and no voice gives the selection nothing to cut on and nothing to caption. Coaches who narrate their reps get the most usable clips.

Will the crop cut off my legs during a squat or a floor exercise?

The 9:16 frame is placed on the person speaking, with a zoom between x1.0 and x1.6, and a wide shot that holds several people is kept whole with space above and below rather than cropped. When a movement needs the full body, open the studio and move the framing keyframes: each one carries a centre and a zoom, and you can lower the frame onto the feet and lock it for the whole clip.

My members are in the video. Can I keep the clips off the public gallery?

By default an exported short is published to the shortshort community gallery. Every paid plan, Starter at €12 a month, Creator at €29 and Studio at €79, lets you keep your videos out of it, for exports already made and for the ones to come. Filming the people in your class still needs their agreement, which is your call and not the tool's.

How many clips can I get out of one class, and how long is each one?

From 1 to 20 clips per video, each between 15 and 90 seconds, and the AI may run up to 25% over or under that target to finish the instruction instead of clipping it mid-sentence. Your plan sets the ceiling: 3 clips per video on the free tier, with a watermark on the export, then 5 on Starter, 10 on Creator and 20 on Studio. Every export is a 1080 x 1920 MP4.

A 47-minute strength class, 10 shorts, one drop.

Free to try with 60 credits. Your source video stays yours; the shorts you export join the community, and a plan keeps them out of it.
