How do I turn my cooking videos into short clips?
Upload the recipe video as it was filmed, up to 3 hours and 2 GB, then set a number of clips and a target length for each. The recording is transcribed, the passages where a step starts and finishes are kept, top-down and wide shots stay whole while the 9:16 crop follows you, and every word is captioned. You get MP4 files at 1080 x 1920, ready for Reels, TikTok and Shorts.
Will my overhead shots of the pan get cropped?
No. A top-down shot of a board or a pan is a wide scene, and a wide scene is fitted whole inside the vertical frame, with space above and below, so none of the ingredients leave the picture. The 9:16 crop is used when a person is the subject, and it follows the face of whoever is speaking. If a scene is framed the wrong way, every keyframe can be changed in the studio and the clip rendered again.
How many shorts can I get from one recipe video, and what does it cost?
From 1 to 20 per video, each between 15 and 90 seconds, with the ceiling set by your plan: 3 on the free tier with a watermark, 5 on Starter, 10 on Creator, 20 on Studio. The price is one credit per minute of source whatever you ask for, so a 47-minute recipe costs 47 credits. Starter is €12 a month for 240 credits, five recipes of that length; Creator is €29 for 800 and Studio €79 for 3,000.
Do I have to say the quantities out loud?
Yes, if you want them in the clip. The cut and the captions both come from the transcript, so a quantity that only appears as text on screen is never transcribed, never captioned, and gives the AI nothing to hold on to. Saying the two hundred grams of flour while you tip it into the bowl gives the cut a sentence to land on and the caption a figure to set in bold.
Can I keep my recipes out of the public gallery?
Yes, on any paid plan. Exported shorts join the community by default; Starter, Creator and Studio each include the setting that keeps your videos and your shorts out of it, applied to what you have already exported as well as to what comes next.
