Selection happens in the transcript, on passages that set themselves up and land on their own. Ask for 35 seconds and a clip comes back anywhere between roughly 26 and 44 seconds, because the tolerance is 25% either way and the punchline decides where it stops, not the number you typed.
Club footage is wide, dim and locked off on a tripod. A 9:16 crop keeps about a third of the width of that 16:9 frame, and tracking holds it on you at the mic, so you come up far larger than the tripod saw you; if that is still not tight enough, the studio zoom goes to x1.6 and one click locks the framing for the whole clip.
Talk to a table and there are two people in the exchange. A shot the analysis marks as one a vertical crop would cut in half is kept whole instead of sliced to a strip, and when the person answering holds the frame long enough to count as a turn, about a second and a half, the crop cuts to them and cuts back to you afterwards.
