VIDEO REPURPOSING TOOL

Repurpose one long video into many shorts.

Repurposing means getting several posts out of one recording without re-shooting, and the shortshort studio does exactly that and nothing wider: one file in, separate 9:16 shorts out. This is the same product as every other page on this site; it is not a content calendar, and it does not write blog posts or threads.

60 free credits, no cardUp to 3 hours per videoMP4 · 1080 × 1920

The count is a plan setting, not a price

One 60-minute file costs 60 credits whether you keep 3 shorts on Free or 20 on Studio, so more posts from the same source cost nothing extra.

Each short is a different moment

Passages are not reused between shorts of the same video, and every short gets its own title and its own edit.

Saved shorts stay together

Shorts from one source share the file and are grouped in the library, so the video you repurposed in March is still one entry with its clips.

How to do it

Four steps. About two minutes of your time.

  1. 01Pick the recording to repurpose, up to 3 hours and 2 GB, and upload it as MP4, MOV or WebM
  2. 02Choose the number of shorts your plan allows (3 on Free, 5 on Starter, 10 on Creator, 20 on Studio) and a target length
  3. 03Go through the proposals, keep the ones that stand alone, tweak bounds and captions
  4. 04Download each MP4 as you post it; they stay grouped under the source in your library

What this page does not promise

No text outputs: no blog post, newsletter, thread or summary is generated from the transcript, only video shorts.

No scheduling, publishing or analytics: the studio ends at the MP4 download, and posting is done on each platform by you.

Questions people ask

What formats come out?

One format: MP4, H.264, 1080 x 1920 at 30 fps, one file per short. There is no horizontal or square variant and no audiogram; the Studio plan adds a JSON edit plan for rendering on your own server.

How many posts can one hour of video become?

Up to 20 shorts on Studio, 10 on Creator, 5 on Starter and 3 on Free, each a distinct passage of 15 to 90 seconds. The hour costs 60 credits in every case.

Can my team share the account?

There are no seats or team workspaces. One account holds the library, each short is downloaded as a separate MP4, and that file is what gets handed to the person who posts it.

Can I render the shorts in my own pipeline?

On Studio, yes: each short's edit plan can be exported as a JSON file and rendered on your own server. Below Studio the export is the rendered MP4 only.

Does it repurpose audio-only files?

No. The input has to be a video file in MP4, MOV or WebM. For audio, export a video with a static image first, and the transcript and captions will be produced from it.

Is this a separate repurposing product from shortshort?

No. It is the shortshort studio. Every page under /tools describes the same software, with the wording of the search term people use to find it.

A 66-minute panel discussion on Creator, 10 shorts, one drop.

Free to try with 60 credits. Your source video stays yours; the shorts you export join the community, and a plan keeps them out of it.
