WEBINAR CLIP MAKER

Cut a webinar recording into clips.

A webinar recording is a presenter, a deck and a Q&A, and each needs different treatment in a vertical clip. The shortshort studio, the same one on every page of this site, detects the slide, tracks the presenter and cuts the Q&A into whole answers, from a file you upload after the session.

A slide is not cropped like a face

Scene detection tells a screen share from a camera feed and keeps the slide as a full image instead of cutting a 9:16 strip through the text.

The Q&A becomes a set of standalone clips

Because the AI stops only where a sentence stops, an answer comes out whole, and if the question was left out of the chosen passage the start point can be moved back in the studio to bring it in.

Fifty hours a month on Studio

Studio includes 3,000 credits, or 50 hours of recordings, with up to 20 shorts per video; Creator has 800 credits, or 13 h 20, with up to 10.

How to do it

Four steps. About two minutes of your time.

  1. 01Download the recording from Zoom, Teams, StreamYard or your webinar platform, then upload that file
  2. 02Request 6 to 10 clips of 40 to 60 seconds on Creator (up to 20 on Studio, 5 on Starter, 3 on Free) so answers have room to finish
  3. 03Verify which segments were kept full-frame and which follow the presenter
  4. 04Export each clip as a 1080 x 1920 MP4 for the social team

What this page does not promise

No import from the webinar platform's link or cloud recording page: download the file first, then upload it.

No on-screen titles, lower thirds or logo overlays are added; a Studio brand preset covers caption colour and font only.

Questions people ask

Are slides readable in the vertical clip?

Yes. When the recording shows a slide or a shared screen, shortshort keeps the whole image in the vertical frame rather than cropping a 9:16 strip out of it. The presenter's camera segments are cropped and tracked.

Can the clip include the question and the answer?

The AI cuts where a sentence begins and where one ends, so the answer comes out whole, but it does not pair a question with its answer on purpose. If the question is missing from a clip, move the start point back in the studio; if it was inaudible, let the answer stand on its own.

Our webinars are 90 minutes. What do they cost?

90 credits each, at shortshort's rate of 1 credit per minute of recording, whatever the number of clips. Starter's 240 monthly credits cover two such webinars and part of a third; Creator's 800 cover eight; Studio's 3,000 cover thirty-three.

Can the recording be processed while I am in the next meeting?

On Creator and Studio, yes: generation runs on the server, you can close the tab and the clips are in the library when you come back. On Free and Starter the tab has to stay open during rendering.

Can we keep customer questions out of the public gallery?

Yes. Exported shorts go to the community by default, and every paid plan lets you keep the account's shorts out of it, or withdraw one clip; a withdrawn clip leaves the gallery immediately.

Is a webinar clip maker a separate product?

No. It is the shortshort studio, described here for people who search with that phrase. The upload limit, credit rule, framing and captions are the same on every page.

A 58-minute product webinar on Creator, 8 shorts, one drop.

Free to try with 60 credits. Your source video stays yours; the shorts you export join the community, and a plan keeps them out of it.
